Marcus is one of the talented people who participated in our
Employment program. Thanks to specified funding, hewas able to
move from a certified Day Habilitation Program to a Community
Based Pre-Vocational Program. This progress along our
Employment Continuum helped him to foster work skills and gain
confidence inhis abilities. Marcus saidwhenhe foundout hewas
moving to thePre-VocationalProgram,hewasreallyhappybecause
he would have the chance to learn new skills and work towards
employment. His enthusiasmwas contagious, encouraging others
in the group to establish goals andwork towards obtaining them.
“These are really good people to work with. I am proud to come
hereeveryday,”Marcus said. ThroughhisPre-Vocational Program,
Marcus has had opportunities to volunteer and help others in
the community. These opportunities have helped Marcus learn
accountability, workplace etiquette, and how to work as part of
a team. Additionally, Marcus has learned how to clean, cook and
stock items. He continues to receive positive feedback about the
quality of hiswork.

employment is not an obligation but an opportunity to have a
positive IMPACT on their community and improve their quality of
life. Through the customized, person-centered services included
in our Employment Continuum, anyone participating in these
services is guided along apath tofindingmeaningful employment
opportunities.
